Delicious Southern Italian Style Lasagna at Home

If you go for a delicious meal for your entire family and budget friendly, lasagna is the way to. Easy to make, filling and economical, this popular Italian dish is with almost anyone that loves Italian food popular.

Origins

Lasagna is a kind of stew that layers of meat, sauce and cheese. There are numerous variations, including some with spinach and another with white sauce. What they need

To prepare your lasagna, you must collect a few ingredients, if they have not been at home. You will want to:

• Box 8 ounces lasagna noodles

• A 15 ounces can of crushed tomatoes

• A glass of 28 ounces pasta sauce, preferably one with a bold flavor, although each flavor is working

• A pound of Italian sausage

• 15 grams of ricottaCheese

• 8 ounces shredded mozzarella cheese

• 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning

• ¼ teaspoon garlic powder

• ¾ cup dry red wine such as Burgundy or Cabernet

Preparing the Lasagna

Before you begin, you should preheat the oven to 350 degrees Celsius. You must first prepare the noodles. Bring in a large pot with water and boil. After the water boils add the pasta and cook for about eight minutes. ThePasta should be slightly firm. Drain on a paper towel and return to the pan. Coat with a little olive oil and let cool. To the sauce you want to heat the brown sausage in a large frying pan.

Once browned, add in the pasta sauce, crushed tomatoes, garlic, spices and powders. Reduce the heat to low and add the red wine. Continue to cook and stir for another 10 to 15 to minutes.

Lemon Meringue Pie Recipe, A Classic Southern Dessert

Lemon Meringue Pie is a classic southern recipes that should be done at home. It is easy to make and the taste of the homemade version far lights in the store bought or frozen variety. The lemon meringue pie recipe consists of 3 parts: the pie crust, the custard and the meringue.

This recipe uses a pre-baked pie shell to make it easy as you make your own if you prefer. Use a pie, not a Graham or cookie crust, so that the meringue will sealright.

For meringue recipes, I prefer to use pasteurized eggs. Pasteurized eggs are pasteurized to kill any germs, and are safe for foods such as meringue, which otherwise may not get enough cooking. Pasteurized eggs are available in most supermarkets these days are available, but if they are not available in your area, you can use pasteurized egg white powder, which can be found in your baking section to be replaced. (Only for the whites, not the egg yolk substitute.)

Add the boiling water, bring to a boil again and simmer for 1 minutes.

Remove from heat and stir in the lemon peel and butter.

Pour into pie shell.

Make the meringue:

Beat the egg whites until stiff. Stiff will hold its shape when mounded.

Little by little sugar, a tablespoon at a time. Beat until combined and no sugar crystals remain.

Spread on the cake. Spread the meringue to the edge of the cake, so that pie with the sealShell.

Bake at 325 degrees until golden brown.

Kimberly's Southern-Style Sweet Iced Tea

This is absolutely delicious and my favorite summer drink. I call it southern style sweet tea, because Southerners make wonderful sweet tea, and love it so much. However, my mother has been making wonderful sweet iced tea since I was little, and it is certainly not a southerner!

My Story:

When I was little, I had an English nanny directly from England. The first time she offered to make my mother a cup of tea in our house, she noticed that my mother did not have PGTips tea. This is a British favorite and is imported from England, but in our grocery stores in Canada (especially A & P). She has quite a big fuss about us not the right kind of tea, and said that we have never drank a large cup of tea, until we had PG Tips. Well, what followed was that she threw out all of our other brands of plain tea. When she came the next day, they stocked us with PG Tips.

We have to ensure the faithful since, and we always, that westocked up to this day.

*** As you see in the ingredients list, I use graphic recommend PG Tips for iced tea.

Type: Drinks

Drink: You can make a version of this alcoholic beverage by the addition of 1 shot of your favorite alcohol to a 16 oz highball.

Preparation time: 10 min

Brew Time: 5 minutes

Yield: 16 cups

Ingredients:

4 tea bags - My absolute favorite and the only one I need, is PG Tips brand.

~ 16 cups of water - ~ 10 cups cooked it.

1 lemon --Freshly squeezed

1 orange - Freshly squeezed

2 cups sugar

Instructions:

1. ~ 10 cups of boiling water in a pot, or as much as possible to fill your tank.

2. With a natural vegetable / fruit spray cleaner, spray lemons and oranges, and rinse under cold water.

3. (In large pitcher one is able to hold at least 16 cups of fluid), combine with sugar, 4 tea bags, and the juice of the lemon and orange, and the empty halves of lemon and orange.

4. After the water hascooked pour into pitcher and stir to dissolve sugar. Just leave tea bags and lemon halves in 5 minutes max.

5. Remove tea bags and citrus fruit halves and discard or use for compost.

6. Fill jar to top with ~ 6 more cups of cold water.

* Tip: To quickly cool tea, use ice cubes instead of cold water.

7. Serve & Enjoy a cold glass.

Nutrition Facts:

It is best to use organic citrus. Organic Teas also available.

Experiment with differentTeas, but always follow the instructions for each type of tea for the length of the turnout time. I have other fruits, herbal teas, green teas and interesting spices and herbs used in our iced tea. When you come into our house, so you can pretty guarantee that you will be a big, cold pitcher of iced tea found in the refrigerator.

Southern Key Lime Pie

If you are south-life and a good idea for a dessert need love, this recipe is for you. The southern key lime pie recipe is easy and delicious and a traditional southern dessert.

Ingredients for Southern Key Lime Pie:

• 3 large eggs
• 1 cup granulated sugar
• ¼ cup all purpose flour
• 3 tablespoons cornstarch
• ¼ teaspoon salt
• 2 cups water
• 1 tablespoonButter
• ¼ cup key lime juice
• Finely grated zest of one lime
• 1 baked pie shell - and 9-inch
• ¼ teaspoon cream of tartar
• 5 tablespoons white sugar

Directions for making Southern Key Lime Pie:

• Separate the eggs and egg yolks and place to keep the protein
• Take a small bowl and yolks in it
• In a saucepan over medium heat, combine 1 cup white sugar, cornstarch, salt andFlour
• Gradually stir in boiling water until it thickens
• After about 1 rain / 3 of mixture into the beaten egg yolks
• Stir the mixture into the remaining hot mixture into the pan
• Continue to cook over low heat
• Stir every two minutes
• Stir in the peel, butter and lemon juice
• Pour batter into the baked pie shell and cool
• Mix the meringue on top and heat until they brown in the oven
• To make the meringueTopping, the eggs are beaten until they light and frothy
• Add ¼ teaspoon cream of tartar cream and continue beating until the egg whites until stiff peaks form and
• Slowly 5 tablespoons sugar and continue beating until the meringue is stiff and glossy
• About the pie filling, which is then cooled, Pile the meringue slightly
• Spread meringue until it reaches edge of the pastry to prevent it from shrinking
• Bake in preheated oven at 425 degrees, until the topbrown for about 5-6 minutes

Let the cake cool and serve. You can add the pie slices garnished with small pieces of Key Lime bark a little extra touch to this delicious recipe for Southern Key Lime Pie. If you want to change the recipe a bit, you can top the cake with whipped cream instead of meringue. This works best if you are in a time crunch and do not want to make the meringue too. You can serve this delicious dessert after a meal or on its own southern as a nicePampered with afternoon coffee or tea.
