Delicious Southern Italian Style Lasagna at Home

If you go for a delicious meal for your entire family and budget friendly, lasagna is the way to. Easy to make, filling and economical, this popular Italian dish is with almost anyone that loves Italian food popular.

Origins

Lasagna is a kind of stew that layers of meat, sauce and cheese. There are numerous variations, including some with spinach and another with white sauce. The following recipe is the traditional form of lasagna that most people are familiar with the southern style lasagna. This means that it uses a tomato, Mozzarella, ricotta, and as part of the recipe.

What they need

To prepare your lasagna, you must collect a few ingredients, if they have not been at home. You will want to:

• Box 8 ounces lasagna noodles

• A 15 ounces can of crushed tomatoes

• A glass of 28 ounces pasta sauce, preferably one with a bold flavor, although each flavor is working

• A pound of Italian sausage

• 15 grams of ricottaCheese

• 8 ounces shredded mozzarella cheese

• 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning

• ¼ teaspoon garlic powder

• ¾ cup dry red wine such as Burgundy or Cabernet

Preparing the Lasagna

Before you begin, you should preheat the oven to 350 degrees Celsius. You must first prepare the noodles. Bring in a large pot with water and boil. After the water boils add the pasta and cook for about eight minutes. ThePasta should be slightly firm. Drain on a paper towel and return to the pan. Coat with a little olive oil and let cool. To the sauce you want to heat the brown sausage in a large frying pan.

Once browned, add in the pasta sauce, crushed tomatoes, garlic, spices and powders. Reduce the heat to low and add the red wine. Continue to cook and stir for another 10 to 15 to minutes.

Once your sauce is done, you need to assemble the lasagna. You need a pan of a 13 x 9. Ladlequarter of the sauce on the bottom of the pan. Layer noodles, side by side. Ladle in another quarter of the sauce, then sprinkle with one third of one third of the mozzarella and ricotta cheese. Repeat these steps are twice to the different layers, ending with a ricotta topping. Bake in preheated oven for 45 minutes. Let set until 10 minutes before slicing to serve.
